Paranormal Investigation Group Agreement
for Self Guided Tours at Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site
Perryville, Kentucky

Perryville Battlefield allows for the investigation of paranormal activities on the battlefield by special use permit.  Reservations must be made in advance at least two weeks prior to the date you are requesting.  To obtain this permit the following information is required: name of group, person in charge of group, address, phone number, and driver’s license number.

Fee Schedule
1-10 individuals in group for 6 hours is $250.
Each additional person after 10 will be an additional $25.00
Additional access or time may be granted by park staff with additional fees associated to the activity.

In order to book your event and receive the Special Use Permit, please fill out the required information contained below. Please have each person read and sign the Release of Liability, Hold Harmless Agreement and Indemnity, and read and keep the park user rules.  In order to receive the special use permit, please remit the completed booking sheet along with payment and a completed Release of Liability, Hold Harmless Agreement & Indemnity for each individual.

The user permit and ID Cards will be sent to the contact address listed below.

When you receive your permit, keep it with your group on the date of your event. Each person should also have their ID Cards. You may be stopped and asked to produce the permit by either park staff or local law enforcement.

Park User Rules, Restrictions and Regulations

  •  Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
  •  All users must act in a respectful, orderly manner. No occult activity or practices such as, but not limited to, the use of Ouija boards are allowed.
  •  Anyone caught with a metal detector in their possession will be subject to immediate arrest and may face Federal Prosecution in addition to State charges.
  •  Littering is prohibited.  Place all garbage in cans provided throughout the park.
  •  Park only is designated parking areas.  Driving is only allowed on paved areas.  Do not drive on trails.
  •  Injuring or removing plants is prohibited.
  •  Injuring or removing wildlife is prohibited.
  •  Defacing park property is prohibited. Persons will be responsible for monetary damages in addition to criminal charges for vandalism.
  •  Dogs running at large are prohibited.
  •  Building fires is restricted to existing park grills.
  •  Using wood from the park for fires is prohibited.
  •  Use of motorcycles, three or four wheelers or any off road vehicles is restricted to park paved roads and with a licensed driver.
  •  Discharge of firearms is prohibited.
  •  Use of fireworks is prohibited.
  •  Nocommercial filming, still photography, or audio recording (such as an EVP) is allowed without prior contractual agreement.
  •  Access is limited to only the park grounds and do not entitle anyone to access any building, structure, or any other areas of the park that are restricted to the public for safety and security reasons.
  •  No group will charge other persons to attend their group’s investigation for more than the scheduled price.

Please retain this information for your records.

When you receive your permit, keep a copy with your group on the date of your event. You may be stopped and asked to produce the permit by either park staff or local law enforcement.

No refunds will be issued.  Rain dates are honored within 30 days of the original date.

I, ________________________________, recognize that the grounds of the Perryville Battlefield State Historic Site are closed from dusk to dawn, and walking the site after dark may be considered a dangerous activity. While it is the intent of the Kentucky Department of Parks to make any activities or work on the event site as safe as possible, there can be no guarantees of absolute safety. This site is composed of undeveloped land that cannot be made completely safe without destroying its rustic character. In addition, this type of activity may be considered strenuous and held in prevailing hot and/or wet weather conditions. In exchange for being allowed to participate in the activities related to paranormal investigations (“the event”), I release the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Tourism Cabinet, Kentucky Department of Parks, and agents, officers, and employees thereof, from any and all claims for personal injury or loss, financial loss of any kind or suffered, or damage to personal property suffered or sustained by me.

I also agree to assign to the Kentucky Department of Parks, or its employees, agents or representatives, the right to use my image in recorded video or photographic still image form taken during the event without restriction, and do hereby waive all rights to compensation for the same.

I also understand that this document is only good for the date and time requested on the Agreement and I must vacate the premises after the time expires.

I further understand that the activities referred to only cover the grounds and do not entitle me access to any building, structure, or any other areas of the park that are restricted to the public for reasons of safety and security.

I further understand that this activity must be scheduled in advance and that there is a cost for said activity. I further understand that any violation of park policies or laws will result in a revocation of invitation and, as a result, I can be evicted from the site without notice and without refund.
